LAS VEGAS (AP) ‐‐ Greg Holcomb, Jason Harrison and the Team USA Eagles carved up the defense of the Farnham Knights from Great Britain in the chilly Las Vegas desert on Saturday night in the third Annual U.S. Federation of American Football Invitational Cup.
Holcomb finished the night on 8‐11 passing and threw touchdown passes to Jerome McGee (Vivian, LA/OKC Yard Dawgz), Rocky Ciasulli (Los Angeles, CA) and Brett Perkins (Inglewood, CA/Inglewood Blackhawks). He was intercepted once. Harrison, a former starting tailback at UCLA, combined with Team USA veteran Nate Lewis (Ann Arbor, MI) to keep the Knights defense on their heels all night. “We knew they’d come out with two high safeties so we wanted to run the ball to make them fill the box,” Holcomb said. “Jason and Nate made my job easy by forcing them to respect the run.”
It was the second time that the Eagles defeated the Knights, the first victory coming earlier this year in Mesquite, NV.
Team USA is currently working on their 2010 schedule with potential stops inFrance, Germany, Austria or Denmark in the Euro Invitational. Details are also beingworked out for the Fourth Annual U.S. Federation of American Football Invitational
